Ah, Sammy Cat. Here is your tribute.
When my sister and brother-in-law, Jess and Dane, moved away to grad school last fall, I agreed to take care of their cat, Sam. I have always taken a special liking to the guy, and they weren't permitted a pet in their new place. When I would visit prior to their move, he would always cuddle me and let me pet him.
While we are still buds, I don't know if he has adjusted so well to our house. He seems to get mopey at night, and, consequently, jumps on my and Richard's faces in the wee hours of the morning. Or, if we close our bedroom door, he simply mews pitifully and scratches at the doorknob until I open it. In fact, for the past six months I have been waking up in the night much more often with him than with the Aubsters.
All this aside, I am going to miss Sammy Cat. I am taking him to Jess next week who is going to fly with him to California to his new home at Jess's mother-in-law's house. I know he will be happy, but I will miss seeing him around. Alas.
Here is a tribute vid to Sammy Cat. It is Aubrey and him "playing" (though Aubrey is likely to be having much more fun than he).

Hello there! I'm so glad to see you guys again. Aubrey is just beautiful- she looks like the kind of friend Leah would like to have. Leah is 14 months old (born on Dec. 30) and I'm at home with her. Jason's still(!) in school- what are you guys doing in Burley? I'm excited to keep in touch- stop by our blog anytime!
