Lack o' camera. (Is that like a jack o' lantern?)

I need to buy a camera so I can take pictures for my blog.

But, until said camera is purchased, here are some updates.

January:
  • Richard is awarded a college of business scholarship. He takes on four MBA courses along with full time work.
  • The family visits Grandpa Buck and Grandma Julie in St. Anthony for a night.
  • Holly begins her PhD and starts work on a thesis proposal on parental involvement in preliteracy among deaf preschoolers.
  • Mom Trish starts an internship in alcohol/drug rehabilitation and her LAST semester of college.
  • Aubrey learns (most of) the words (or at least approximate sounds) to nursery songs and sings them constantly into a pretend-microphone-whisk.
  • Richard finishes a research project on rural nurses' intent to leave (and gets an A).
  • Aubrey throws her first real two-year-old tantrum by throwing an entire pan of rolls on the floor while watching the super bowl.
  • The family travels through loads of inclement weather.

February:
  • Aubrey gets a big girl bed and learns to open doors.
  • The family (sans Richard) visit Shiloh, Mark, and Garrett in Utah. Richard spends the weekend writing a research proposal on rural health care human resources.
  • Holly, Aubrey, and Richard catch the flu (in that order).
  • Richard and Holly sing a "special musical number" in church. Aubrey sings along from the congregation.
  • Holly watches three movies on Valentine's Day (two at the theater and one via Redbox).
  • Richard and Holly realized they are turning (respectively) 29 and 27 this year and that life is just speeding up.
  • The family looks forward to another trip to Utah next week to visit Heather and to see the Cougarettes.

Thanks for the catch-up. I am glad to have been part of some of it - especially the throwing of the rolls at Super Bowl. :)

Each one of you are doing such great things. I am happy you are happy.

Richard is too much in his childhood pictures!

Love ya,
Marme/Grandma Trish

I take no responsibility for the doors...hehehe :) And I remember that paper of Richard's! He's worked on it a lot--good for him. You guys are great! Cool that you sang in church :)
