Saturday we went to Green Meadows Petting Farm. It was a blast.
Highlights:
- I milked a cow.
- We held baby chicks, ducks, kitties, and bunnies.
- We petted the cutest baby lambs and baby goats.
- Aubrey rode on a pony.
- We all enjoyed a tractor-pulled hayride.
- Ben cried when the lambs bleated at him.
- The baby goats' nubby horns were adorable.
- We kept a safe distance from the llamas in case they wanted to spit.
- The children jumped around in a barn filled with three feet of hay.
- Richard and Aubrey played checkers on a life-size board using plastic jug lids as pieces.
- I petted some warthogs with wiry hair and grumpy faces. They warmed right up to me.
- We saw the biggest bunny ever. Whoa.
- We saw the biggest pig ever. Double whoa.

Child (and adult?) nirvana! Awesome fun, warthog and all.
Love the quilt colors.

This post made me want to start my own petting farm. Sounds blissful.
