Farm

Saturday we went to Green Meadows Petting Farm.  It was a blast.

Highlights:

  • I milked a cow.
  • We held baby chicks, ducks, kitties, and bunnies.
  • We petted the cutest baby lambs and baby goats.
  • Aubrey rode on a pony.
  • We all enjoyed a tractor-pulled hayride.
  • Ben cried when the lambs bleated at him.
  • The baby goats' nubby horns were adorable.
  • We kept a safe distance from the llamas in case they wanted to spit.
  • The children jumped around in a barn filled with three feet of hay.
  • Richard and Aubrey played checkers on a life-size board using plastic jug lids as pieces.
  • I petted some warthogs with wiry hair and grumpy faces.  They warmed right up to me.
  • We saw the biggest bunny ever. Whoa.
  • We saw the biggest pig ever. Double whoa.

This post made me want to start my own petting farm. Sounds blissful.
