Sunday driver, yeah

Cauldron Linn

Beautiful Autumn Bush

Pic from a camera phone (not so great)

Last Sunday afternoon we went for a family drive to Cauldron Linn near Murtaugh, Idaho. 'Twas a treacherous, winding dirt road down to the trailhead at the base of the canyon and then a short walk to the, er, linn.

Checking out said linn helped Richard and Aubrey envision what life would have been like had their ancestors not uprooted to America and they were allowed to roam the Scottish courtryside, adoring the many similar waterfalls cut through shelves of hard rock.

Though the water level was quite low, the two seperate falls were still quite interesting and craggy. The low level, also, afforded glimpses into colorful tidepools of organisms nestled in shallow rock divets. There were some beautiful bushes in autumn shades, too.
