Dalmatians

A few weeks ago, Aubrey asked me when the baby was going to come out of my tummy. I told her the baby would arrive a bit before Halloween.

So, in preparation for the baby, Aubrey decided to plan our family costumes. She decided we would all dress as dalmatians. Daddy would be a blue dalmatian, Mommy a white one, and Aubrey and baby would be pink dalmatians.

I then asked her, "What if the baby is a boy?" She did not answer.

All three current members of Team Keddington headed to the hospital last Friday for the ultrasound. At the appointment, we discovered we are having a boy. As Richard told Aubrey she would have a little brother, she cried. "I wanted it to be a girl baby!" she said. She could not be consoled.

On the way to the car, we talked about how Heavenly Father sent us a boy baby, and how we would love him so much.

On the drive home, Aubrey voiced that the baby could wear a black dalmatian costume.
