We have arrived safely and soundly. We are settled into our current abode and feel at home.
Beta is quite active. At our ultrasound, we could hardly get a clear picture of him for all his rapid movements. At one point, he simply stretched out his legs in his entirety, squishing his head into a small pocket. As I also enjoy a good knee-straightening from time to time, I couldn't blame him. Also, for the past couple weeks, I have been feeling distinct Beta kicks.
At church yesterday, Aubrey was concerned that her primary teacher from Idaho was not here. "I have an idea!" she said. "She can get on a plane and come teach my class in Lil' Waukee!" As Sister G. could not be called upon to spontaneously fly to Wisconsin for a two hour teaching stint, we introduced Aubrey to her new teacher. While wary at first, she warmed up. During the lesson, the class made paper sack puppets as an activity. Aubrey chose to make a boy puppet "for the baby." She is warming up more and more to change and altered expectations. She's a trooper.
Richard is the best. Not only is he strong and manly (aka moving/lifting/carrying/rearranging all of our belongings to my heart's content), he also made me two meals yesterday. There are few things that make me happier than a decluttered home and a full belly, and he knows it.
